Who benefits most?

Assisted stretching is a versatile and beneficial option for a wide range of clients. It's particularly effective for individuals seeking to decrease tension, improve circulation, or improve their posture. It’s also an excellent choice for those looking for a post-workout session to aid recovery, and a great option for clients who prefer to remain fully dressed during their treatment. If you’re looking for effective pain relief and increased mobility, this treatment is for you.

Our unique approach

At Rapid Relief Massage Therapy, our assisted stretching uniquely combines passive and active techniques. Your therapist guides you through stretches then cues you to actively engage your muscles, creating a deeper and more effective release. This method directly helps alleviate tension from chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, aids in quicker injury recovery, and significantly reduces the likelihood of re-injury. It’s a targeted approach to sustained comfort and improved function.

**Choosing a specific treatment option allows us to understand what you are looking for in your treatment. Other techniques can always be incorporated by request, and the therapist will make suggestions if they feel another technique or approach will benefit you.**

Frequently Asked Questions

Is assisted stretch covered under my massage therapy benefits?

Yes, all of our services including assisted stretch are within the scope of Massage Therapy and can be billed to extended health benefits.

Can I include assisted stretch in my Swedish massage appointment?

Absolutely! Stretching can be incorporated into any appointment, it does not need to be a standalone treatment. Just let your therapist know at the time of your appointment that you also like some assisted stretch.

How is assisted stretching different from stretching on my own?

A therapist can help position and support your body more effectively than self-stretching, allowing for more targeted and controlled stretches. This can help address areas that are difficult to reach or stabilize on your own. Your therapist will also be able to help you target specific muscles and apply slight overpressure that is difficult to achieve solo.

Do I need to be flexible to book an assisted stretch appointment?

No. Assisted stretching is designed for people of all flexibility levels. Stretches are modified based on your current mobility and comfort.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows movement, such as athletic or loose-fitting clothing, is recommended. Sessions are performed fully clothed
